Christmas Festivities!
Welcome, December! This month will be filled with fun festivities and holiday cheer. On Saturday, December 6th from 12:00 to 4:00pm, we will be hosting our Aravilla Family Christmas Party. Louie B. will be performing live music in the courtyard and our menu will consist of holiday delicacies. Please sign up with reception. We have a festive surprise! During the Christmas Party, families have an opportunity to take professional photos with their loved ones and create a keepsake that will be cherished for years to come. Professional photographer, Miguel will offer photo prints, enlargements, and custom Christmas cards for you and your families. Prepaid packages may be reserved with Selene!

Welcome back Christmas lights! It’s that special time of the year when we take your loved ones to admire Christmas lights. On Thursdays at 6PM, we will visit displays of Christmas lights, such as Largo Central Park, The Ultimate Christmas House Light Show and more! Please sign up to come along with your loved ones!

Christmas Production!
Last year, Aravilla Clearwater held its very first Christmas production under the direction of staff member, Kim—and it was such a wonderful success that we’re bringing it back! The Resident Choir is delighted to present this year’s production, “Winter Wonderland.” Join us in the Promenade on Saturday, December 20th, from 3:00–4:00 PM for an afternoon of joyful wonder. After the performance, we’ll celebrate with refreshments and fellowship. On the same day, we’ll also host our Ugly Sweater Contest! It’s the perfect time to show off that festive sweater you received last year but never wore. No need to re-gift—wear it proudly on December 20th for your chance to win first place! We warmly invite everyone to come and enjoy this joyful production with our Resident Choir as we celebrate the beauty and spirit of the Christmas season together.

Christmas Carolers!
Music is universal—it connects us all, from the young to the young at heart! Christmas fills our hearts with joy, and we’re especially blessed this month to welcome the Espiritu Santo Catholic Choir, whose beautiful voices will enchant us with beloved Christmas carols. Our very own Peggy W. was once a proud member of this talented group. The ESCC performs at the Saturday 6:00 PM Mass and visits local nursing communities. This year, they’ve chosen Aravilla Clearwater in honor of Peggy! Join us on Tuesday, December 9th at 10:30 AM for this uplifting performance. The celebration continues on Monday, December 15th at 10:00 AM, when the McMullen Booth Elementary students, lovingly known as Singing Santa’s Helpers, bring even more holiday cheer! Their festive tunes will warm every heart and spark memories of Christmases past. Gather your loved ones and join us for these joyful events as we celebrate the season of giving—sharing time, laughter, and love!

Resident Spotlight:
“Betty D.”
We are delighted to celebrate Betty D. as a cherished member of our Aravilla family!
Betty was born in Fort Worth, Texas. A proud graduate of Stripling High School, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Texas in Austin. Betty began her career teaching in Texas and later in Florida before finding her true calling as a Church Office Administrator. She faithfully served at the Dunedin Church of the Good Shepherd for over 20 years before retiring. Her dedication to service extended well beyond her career—Betty volunteered for more than 25 years with the Junior Service League of Dunedin, even serving as its president for two years. A true adventurer at heart, Betty loved traveling with her Air Force husband, living in Europe and Africa before settling in Florida. She has explored Alaska, Canada, and countless destinations across the U.S., often by cruise. Betty is the proud mother of three daughters and a devoted grandmother. Her generous spirit shines through her lifelong love of helping others and her creative passion for sewing. For many years, she hand-crafted personalized Christmas decorations for her church, family, and friends. We are overjoyed to have Betty with us and look forward to the warmth, kindness, and joy she brings to our Aravilla community!
