A Monthly Look Inside Aravilla Clearwater

Happy Father’s Day!

Hello June! As we welcome the start of summer, this month offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and recognize the important men who have shaped our
lives in lasting ways. We take time to honor fathers, grandfathers, and father figures whose guidance, strength, and support have helped define who we are today.

Whether through quiet acts of dedication, words of wisdom shared over the years, or the steady presence they provide, these individuals leave a profound and enduring impact. June invites us not only to celebrate them, but also to reflect on the values they’ve instilled-integrity, resilience, compassion, and commitment.

As we move through the month, we encourage you to find your own way to express appreciation, whether through a simple gesture, a thoughtful message, or quality time spent together. Join us Sunday, June 21st at 2pm in the Promenade of Aravilla Clearwater as we honor our fathers and father figures. We’ll serve re-freshments and look forward to sharing this moment with you.

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta!

Flag Day Production!

This month, Sunday, June 14th is observed as Flag Day. On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress formally adopted the first official U.S. flag. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation designating June 14th as Flag Day. In recognition of this occasion, the resident choir will proudly present a Flag Day production on Saturday, June 13th at 3:00pm in the Promenade. Complimentary beverages and light refreshments will be provided following the performance. We warmly invite you to join us for this celebration as our residents perform patriotic songs honoring our Star-Spangled Banner. Residents and their loved ones are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in tribute to our nation’s flag colors. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you.

Bus Trips!

jolley trolley memory care outingsThis year has been filled with exciting adventure through our memory care community party bus outings. Aravilla Clearwater residents enjoyed visiting favorite destinations such as Philippe Park and exploring new places like the Safety Harbor Butterfly Garden.

In June, we are looking forward to a special “Mystery Trip” in honor of our fathers. Our gentlemen residents will enjoy a scenic Jolley Trolley ride through Clearwater and Dunedin with a few lucky ladies joining the fun as well. We are sincerely grateful to Jolley Trolley, along with the COO, office manager, and Alicia for donating their charter and making this memorable experience possible for our residents and their loved ones.

Resident Spotlight:
“Bobbie F.”

We are delighted to celebrate Bobbie F. as a cherished member of our Aravilla Clearwater family!

Bobbie was born in Bonny Blue Virginia. She later moved to Harriman, Tennessee and graduated from Harriman High school. After graduation, she had her first job working for AT&T for about 10-12 years. She married and lived in Canada and Australia. She later moved to Pensacola to work for the Chamber of Commerce where she eventually retired from. She is the proud mother of two children and grandmother to two grandchildren. She has a passion for travel and has visited destinations such as Hawaii and London, in addition to enjoying several cruises. In her free time, she loves to dance, attend movies, and is a devoted fan of Elvis. She has even seen him perform. One of her fondest memories includes a trip to New York with her Bunko group, where she was selected to be part of the Good Morning America audience. During her visit, she was invited to share a memorable and humorous story from her time at the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce involving a restaurant patron who accidentally forgot their dentures and sought assistance in retrieving them. We are truly delighted to have Bobbie as part of our community and encourage you to take a moment to connect with her. Bobbie continues to enrich our community with her kindness, energy, and memorable storytelling. Her stories, especially from her years at the Chamber of Commerce, are sure to bring smiles and laughter.
